Festo solenoid valves

Festo Corporation is the global leader in automation technology, continuously delivering higher performance and more profitable automated manufacturing, deploying tremendous products and services to meet the challenges of smart production for the future through digitalization. Festo now offers over 30,000 products and system solutions for pneumatic and electrical automation technology.

Festo has a strong history of quality and innovation in electrically-actuated solenoid valves. Solenoid valves are electromechanical devices mainly built of a body/cavity where a poppet or a spool is operated by a moving electromagnetic coil. Those valves are used to control the flow of various fluids, such as compressed air, water, or gas. They are commonly used with pneumatic cylinders for well-timed piston extension and retraction.

Festo offers a diverse range of solenoid valves to suit different requirements, including 2/2-way (2-ports / 2-positions), 3/2-way (3-ports / 2-positions), 5/2-way (5-ports / 2-positions), and 5/3-way (5-ports / 3-positions) valves.

Festo blue star core product range features many popular series, including the robust VUVS series and the compact VUVG series solenoid-operated directional control valves with 24Vdc coils. These valves can be mounted with simple direct mounting or on a common manifold:

  • VUVS series: primarily utilized in industries like packaging, printing, machine tools, woodworking, etc. It offers valve connections of G1/8", G1/4", and G3/8", with flow rates ranging from 550L/min to 1600L/min (LPM) (equivalent to 19CFM to 56CFM).
  • VUVG series: commonly employed in industries such as light assembly, end-of-arm tooling, electronics, semiconductors, etc. It features valve connections of M5, M7, G1/8" with flow rates ranging from 180L/min to 660L/min (LPM) (equivalent to 6CFM to 23CFM).
