Wago I/O units

WAGO is a German multinational electronics and electrical connection components manufacturing company headquartered in Minden, Germany. Since its inception in 1979, WAGO has fulfilled the needs of US industry by providing fast, safe, and reliable connectivity solutions. The introduction of the modular, fieldbus-independent I/O System in 1995 helped WAGO break into the automation technology market.

Input/Output units (also know as I/O slices) handle input and output signals in an automated system via digital inputs (DIs), digital outputs (DOs), analog inputs (AIs), and analog outputs (AOs). The I/O unit acts as an interface between an information processing system (like a PLC or a SCADA system) and the field (machine, industrial process, building), typically connecting to sensing devices and actuators. WAGO's I/O units offer significant benefits:

Wago I/Os require a head station/gateway (also called protocol converter) and a power supply unit. Wago I/Os are also available in a safety version for critical applications.
